The alternative is that civilizations do not last very long but destroy themselves. ************************ How ever he does believe that it would be extremely unlikely that we are THE only life within the cosmos considering how fast life set itself up after the creation of our planet. There are >billions of planets that have the same hydrocarbon life possibilities in the universe, the type of life that we are and understand however, other forms of life that rely on DIFFERENT molecular construction and environments are ultimately too numerous and unknown to us to be able to calculate thier possibility. Stephen Hawking warns us that if we are lucky enough to survive the next 100 years without major catastrophe, our only chance as a species is to move into the stars and not keep all our eggs in one basket so to speak. It is for these reasons that religion, big oil, big industry, and our current greed and interest based monetary systems need to be abolished or radically changed as of yesterday. This is why I post anti-christian things. This is why I post pro-life and pro-hemp things. In order to survive, we all must stop violence and gluttony immediately. This includes faiths that end both in violence and offer afterlife rewards. That kind of mind set offers a paranoia that there is always an enemy (satan, demons, gays, the anti christ, muslims, islamists, christians, lutherans, catholics, presperterians, baptists, me, etc) and therefore those of the faith be it the religious or simple followers of the word of god who do not associate themselves with religion, are ALWAYS AT WAR WITH THE ENEMY. This belief offers nothing but the promise of hate and discrimination and fear. This belief is a self fulfilling prophecy of an apocalypse. The world must end in violence because it is written, but dont worry, you will be saved oh faithful one. The belief that there is a reward in eternal paradise after this life is absolutely toxic and poisonous to the human race and every other form of life on this earth and beyond. This belief tells you that it does not matter about the well being of our eco system, it does not matter about the continuously multiplying rate at which we are eliminating our natural resources (food, fuels, minerals, trees, animals, land, sea, water), NOTHING IN THIS LIFE OR ON THIS EARTH MATTERS because you will be delivered oh brothers and sisters. Use it all, suck it dry, this reality is an illusion. I hate to break it to you. This is the one shot we have. I live on this planet. My daughters and sons live on this planet; and when you die, worms eat your body and the only thing left is the good things that you did, the things you left behind, the teachings of right and wrong you instilled in your children. The wolf IS at the door! Surprise, its you. Satan eyes are always at your back, your eyes, your illusion of enemies and the compounded problems of the world we live in. Open the door and face the wolf. Turn around and stop running and hiding and praying in fear for some divine entity to fix your shittiness and clean your messes. Save our planet. Save the human race. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS! You did this, not Satan, and YOU are the only one who can fix this, NOT GOD. It is time to finish moulting our old foolish skins. Tomorrow it will be too late.
