Stephen Tonti is a New Orleans native that was raised in Dallas, Texas where he was---at the mere age of 8 years old---diagnosed with ADHD and consequently rejected from the elementary school in which he was screened for the notorious disorder. Now, he holds a BFA in Theatre Directing with an emphasis in Film Studies from Carnegie Mellon University, along with a wealth of other sports, clubs, programs, and organizations hes been part of throughout and outside of his schooling years. Stephen is a positive example of what the ADHD person is capable of. Cognitive Difference and Diversity should be CELEBRATED. Studies have shown time and time again that the ADHD-diagnosed people can and *will* thrive when placed in an environment of supportive and understanding instructors willing to work with and understand the idiosyncrasies and needs of the student. Learning is a journey unique to everyone, and in order to progress and innovate as a people it is imperative that we abolish the archaic yet looming one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to matters of the mind. Awakening the Creator within us begins with learning our innate comprehension styles and using those tools to construct and create.
