Stepparents unite! It is not the one who gave birth or the one who carried the seed that is a parent, but in fact is the individuals that are there for the children day in and day out and do everything for those children who are the parents. It is the individuals like Lewis Winchester, Deanna Robyn, Jess Winchester and Dan Brown as well as myself that are the real parents here. For the absent parents, they will never truly understand the psychological damage that they inflict on the children. All we can do is be a soft place for them to fall, listen to them when they need to talk, be a shoulder for them to cry on and to never leave their side. Tell them when we are proud of them and lift them up when they are feeling low. To be the one to say I love you no matter what and then show it so that you know that they will never doubt it. I love you Gavin and Mikayla, and Daddy will never leave your side.
