Stepped into my back room to watch the moonlight on my plants. Crunch, crunch, a young buck (4 points on each antler - does one count that as a four pointer or does one count all 8 points? - ignorant in Chicago wants to know.) was munching away on downed branches and myrtle leaves. He is so thick and healthy in the moonlight. I havent seen deer in my yard for over a year. I knew they were around because my evergreen bushes have remain trimmed. So nice to see this one up close. He finished going for the bittersweet berries growing up the hawthorn tree. The deer love them. Its going to be a good year now that I have seen my deer.
