Steroids-you are a cruel master! I am taking a round of steroids in the ongoing battle against a brutal case of bronchitis. I am currently under house arrest, or I should say I am grounded, or I might more accurately say that it has been strongly suggested that I hibernate for 2 weeks for voice rest. And . . . I have discovered it is best if you are not around anyone when you are on steroids. They make you MEAN. REALLY REALLY MEAN. They also make sure you add sleep deprivation to the list of what ails you. Evidently, restricted talking (my word bank is about to blow!) combined with limited sleep makes me MEAN. MEAN. REALLY MEAN. I know . . . I am as stunned as anyone! On the up side, less sleep gives me more time to eat everything in the kitchen that is not nailed down. Oh did I not mention that another side effect is hunger that cannot be statisfied. No matter how much you eat! But by not sleeping I have more time to come up with snarky retorts because did I mention . . . steroids make me MEAN. I only have 8 more days on them. It will take me that many more days to apologize to everyone (Craig) that has been on the receiving end of my snarkiness. So perhaps it is best that I remain under house arrest lest I spoil my testimony completely!!!
