Steve Hensley WYMT 57 Mountain News here. This Saturday, May 17th, will mark my 15th anniversary as a full time employee at WYMT! I anchored the 11pm news for the first time on May 17th, 1999. The time sure has flown by! Ive covered so many memorable stories through the years and thought this would be a good week to look back and re-visit some of them on facebook. The first one is a series I did on the 50th anniversary of the 1957 flood. Im posting two parts of the five part series. Im proud to say this series won a first place Associated Press award for best series/documentary and I still get comments about it. The second part of the video includes interviews with my Dad and grandmother, who survived a house fire during the flood. It still gives me chills. Stay tuned for more memories all week on facebook!
