Steve Martin directs Be Right Back, one of seven plays that are part of the second annual 10-Minute Play Festival at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. It was written by Scott Haan. Question: Why did you want to direct Be Right Back? Steve Martin: Scott Haan has written a script that tells a complete story, develops two characters whom the audience will connect with, gives those characters complete arcs and surprises me at the end. It took me one time to read the script, and I knew I wanted to be involved in the production. All 7 plays will be performed both nights. The festival is a Pay What You Can event, and general admission tickets will be available at the box office immediately before the event begins.
