Steve this is my response to your (2) two Facebook postings. Im not sure of your motivation to criticize me and try throwing me under the bus and making false statements about me on Social Media? You came up to me during the second game and said This is the playoffs you need to focus then someone said to you dont try to intimidate him and then you said Im talking to him man to man. You post The Dodgers beat the As fair and square and the umps had nothing to do with our loss then you state again I will never blame someone else when I loose Then you state Players from my team who dont play with the same respect I left after the game did some of your players not shake hands with the other players after the games, if so I would like their names. Then in your second posting on Facebook not saying it enough in your first post complaining about my umpiring, then you have to state it was the Commissioner who was umpiring. Then you state The Dodgers know I dont blame the umps for our loss. There you state NO CALLS CHANGED THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME FOR OUR AGAINST US but then again and again you continue to say BUT IT WAS STILL BAD OFFICIATING how many ways and times are you going to criticize and make negative comments on SOCIAL MEDIA FOR ALL TO SEE? Apparently your perfect, you make plenty of wrong calls, stop patting yourself on the back! I dont complain because Im glad to have an umpire.Then I see another comment on Facebook from Petro Jr stating using the same words as Steve A REAL LACK OF FOCUS and saying IT WAS A REAL HALF ASSED EFFORT and then you mention my name on Facebook. Apparently your perfect too. This isnt the same guy who ran across the field on to the pitchers mound to confront your own teammate ready to have a fistfight on the field and needed to be stopped by the other players from fighting? THOSE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULDNT THROW STONES I started this league 24 years ago by myself, with NO HELP from anyone, putting out fliers and handling all the logistics that goes in running this league. Some of you playing in this league werent even born or you were in diapers playing with you GI Joes or your blocks when I started this league. Then I read false statements about the umpires, DONT MAKE FALSE STATEMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL THE FACTS STEVE LIKE...The Commissioner should have done a better job ensuring that there were adequate people to umpire both semifinal games, that was not done I HAD 5 PEOPLE IN PLACE TO UMPIRE ON SUNDAY! If you see I posted on Facebook for volunteers, the only two responses I received were from 2 people who didnt play Turtle and Mike Lent, not (1) ONE RESPONSE FROM ANY PLAYER WHO WAS ELIMINATED to volunteer! How was I to know they wouldnt show up, did you expect me to take them by the hand and bring them to the game? I called Felix, he told me he couldnt make it and he would get someone in his place, and Jim Rosato told me he would come a little later, I didnt call Ron because he moved a distance away and I already had 5 umpires. Dont you think I was annoyed that no one show up to umpire. DAMN RIGHT I was, but that didnt affect my umpiring. I saw little Louie walking over to watch the game on field (A) when he saw their was no umpires, he ran for the hills and left, who wants to take the crap from you guys when he didnt play in the league, can you blame him! I cant even get the people to umpire even when they were scheduled during the season to ump, everyone has an excuse. Thanks Chris and Jay for showing up and umpiring last week I appreciate it. Steve you continually complain about my umpiring in your posts, I guess Major league umpires are incompetent even though their paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to blow a few calls, they have to go to the video tape to see if the call was correct by umpires who are right on top of the call! Not at home plate trying to make calls by himself from 60-90 feet away expected perfection. Their professionals! Then I make a call on a trapped ball that was a shoe string catch, fortunately for you Steve, Selgado didnt hear the call and was thrown out for the last out of the inning. Then I hear you telling your players while you were sitting on the side stating I WAS COMING OFF THE FIELD NO MATTER WHAT so I guess you were going to overrule my call as a player because you didnt agree with my call and what I saw, and say he was out no matter what I think or said, when Im the only person umpiring. Then knowing all the bang-bang calls I was having to endure, your teammate Rich Romero says to me saying your having a tough job today, youre doing a good job, and then I hear from you Steve NO HES NOT 75% of the bang-bang calls are at 1st and 2nd base, Im sorry I dont have X-ray vision to see everything from home plate. I try to get in the best position to make the call, I see what I call, I dont know what to tell you. You put down that you bust your ass when you umpire, I not only bust my ass when I ump but I also bust my ass putting this league together for everyone to enjoy, running it from beginning to end, trying to keep everyone happy, running a league with almost 100 testosterone filled men with multiple and different personalities in tact. And then again attack and criticize me at the end of your second posting stating I CAN TELL WHEN SOMEONE JUST ISNT IN TO IT AND COULD CARE LESS AND YESTERDAY WAS THE LATTER Your right Steve I could care less what you think, because I know I did the best I could do under the circumstances umpiring 3 games, but putting out on SOCIAL MEDIA is a totally different story, you want to send an e-mail between the captains or text me with your displeasure that would have been appropriate, but not in this way on SOCIAL MEDIA that everyone who has Facebook, including my family members who read the Society Hill II Facebook postings and my Father who lives in Florida who asked me about your two absurd postings about me. Steve its your opinion and if someone else feels the same TOUGH! I call what I SEE! Steve this is the 2nd time you have questioned my integrity in two weeks, the week before when I showed up with 10 players when I thought we were going to forfeit with 7 players, you changed the game on Sunday night for us to 9:00 when I called you Sunday evening after Mark called me that he wouldnt be able to make the 10:30 game and knowing I didnt have Jose and without Mark I would only have 7. Thankfully you changed it for us to 9:00 we were able to play and not forfeit, Joe Z played 4 games all year, hasnt responded to my texts to him in weeks and most of the year about the games due to his fathers illness and Snake had surgery on his foot and was wearing a walking boot that last week and could not play. Do you think I knew Snake or Joe was going to make the game Sunday night when I asked if you could change the time, or when they showed up, should I have sent them home that Sunday even though they paid and should I told them they cant play today because were only supposed to play with 8 men. I told you I have the texts and the phone logs for you to refer to, (texts to Joe & my phone call to Snake the night before the game and the phone call to Felix about umpiring) instead of questioning my integrity think before you speak and before you put it on paper, know the facts (about the umps and everything else) before you put false statements on SOCIAL MEDIA. Yes STEVE it was me posting previously on Facebook, you didnt answer the questions why you keep bringing up the umpiring if the calls didnt change the outcome of the game and they won fair and square? Because youre talking out of both sides of your mouth, like you said NO DOUBT IT cant see it any way. Being your the BEST umpire and everyone wants and begs you to umpire , if you would like to umpire on Sunday, you can take the bases, where most of the bang-bang plays and calls happen, so the teams in the finals have the BEST umpire on the bases calling the best and fairest game like no one else.
