Stewardship Reflection for July 20th - Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time God is rich in mercy! In the Book of Wisdom we read that although God is almighty, His mercy and kindness give us cause for hope. St. Paul reminds us that in our human weakness we dont know how to pray, but that the Spirit intercedes for us. The abundance of Gods mercy and love are poured out on those who ask. In the Gospel today are parables that compare the kingdom of Heaven to living, growing things. When we receive the abundance of Gods love and share it to help each other, the kingdom of Heaven grows. The Love of the Father comes to the earth like a rainfall, bringing life to the world. May we openly receive Gods gifts and freely share them with our neighbor.
