Best news Ive had all YEAR!!! And I was just ragging on Ma... MassABA Member, The leadership of Mass ABA would like to announce that Governor Patrick has signed into law a Bill which will require MassHealth to cover autism treatment. This law provides those individuals on MassHealth the benefits that the ARICA legislation provided to those with private health insurance. No longer will someones financial status be a barrier to accessing medically necessary treatment for individuals on the autism spectrum. This law also provides for an autism endorsement for public school teachers and a key provision added to the bill through the efforts of Mass ABA and Senator Richard Moore of Uxbridge is a requirement for the training to be in evidence based practices consistent with IDEA requirements. This is another important piece of legislation that Mass ABA has been working on your behalf to support. We will continue to work together with the legislature and the Governors office to advance the practice of Behavior Analysis on behalf of the children and families we serve and our membership.
