All the chatter about the Woody Allen photos reminded me that over the past few years Ive been watching the Ritz Thrift Shop across the street close down, get razed, and finally enter into one of the most interminable excavation-and-construction projects to be found anywhere in this-most-holey neighborhood. (I look out the window and see the big yellow TomCon hydraulic excavator is still sitting there idle, like a abandoned Tonka toy in its box.)
