The FRESh Awards were born from a desire to recognise and celebrate the amazing work happening throughout the sustainable community-led sector from within, not from outwith. You may have guessed, we aren’t professional events people, nor have we ever run an awards ceremony before, but we think there is something important in taking a bit of time-out and getting together to give one another a well-deserved pat on the back! We hope you agree, and from the amazing number of nominations, it would seem you do! As this is our first time holding such an event, winners are chosen by our Board of Directors using the information available to them via the nomination forms. Our 8 Directors are all volunteers and have a pretty neutral starting point. In years to come, we will try different selection methods, from expert panels to open online voting, and see what works best. We look forward to celebrating this special time with you and would appreciate any feedback as to how we might improve in future! Section 4 Saturday 3rd May.
