Still out on the road bike? Once we get a bit of rain the Puncture Fairy will come out to play :-( Remember, to regularly check your tyres for tiny bits of glass, flint and other sharp debris. Starting at the valve for easy reference slowly spin the wheel while examining the rubber. Running your hand around is not a good idea unless you like blood ;-) Pic below shows debris embedded. Most punctures (excluding pinch flats often known as snake bite punctures) are not immediate or inevitable. Bits of debris stick to the tyre and slowly work through the tyre and puncture the tube. Also wise to fit a more puncture resistant tyre onto the winter wheels - I have found the Continental Tire Gatorskin to be fantastic and very puncture resistant without being heavy. They have a good puncture resistant layer to keep The Fairy at bay. If you like your tyres another good option is a puncture resistant liner - also in stock ;-) Give me a PM, call or email if you would like further advice to new tyres :-)
