Still the equation favors APC and especially when they field Buhari as their candidate. In 2011 despite the weak status of CPC as a newly created party, Buhari whisked away 12 states from the North. As it is now despite the coup in Adamawa, chances are in 2015 Buhari will get about 13 or 14 states from the North. Thats when we keep the figures at the least level of optimism. In this he will need only 4 states from the South West to reach 18, thereby soiling whatever plan the PDP has. Trust me, Babba Waziri ( Mansur) PDP is aware of this permutation and it is why you see it trying to impeach some governors in the North, wanting to forcefully collect the trappings of power in the states for manipulation come 2015. Yes Mandela was old, was 72 when he assumed power under ANC. Mandela who was once labelled a terrorist by his enemies, did well for his worldview, convictions and values that enforced moderation on him at old age. Buhari, once seen by many as a military dictator will do well for his worldview, convictions and values that enforce moderation, higher level of tolerance, on him at old age. True to my conviction, Buhari will not solve Nigerias problems. People will continue to complain about many things. But he will be able to set the country back on the path of progress and meaningful development. He will never give the Nigerian public a reason to false hope or claim an unearned victory or reputation for himself . He will not lie to ASUU or Nigerian Medical Association (NMA). He will tell all the truth about NEPA or PHCN and the FGNs power generation initiatives. In short Buhari will raise the standard of our well searched solution and his failure maybe guaranteed only by the person succeeding him. For Buhari may lead only for four years and step aside, just like Mandela did. But he will be remembered in Africas history more than Mandela will ever be!
