Stolen from Shirit Pankowsky: How many IDF basic training - TopicsExpress

Stolen from Shirit Pankowsky: How many IDF basic training soldiers does it take to change a light bulb? Well, first well be given 46 seconds to fulfill the order, but it takes 20 to report back to formation and of course the last 10 seconds have to be counted out loud, upon which the announcement of the commander will be messed up twice. Well be given another 2 minutes with the instruction that its not fair for only one or two people to be doing all the work and everyone else just standing around yelling the best way to twist/untwist said lightbulb. Someone will get shocked because they forgot to turn the light off before unscrewing the bulb and get 2 days rest on base. The time will be cut short to remind us that not enough people are helping and that we arent paying enough attention to safety regulations. Well be given another minute to complete the task, but the whole time will be spent getting the new bulb out of the packaging. When time is up, three people will get punishments for being late to the formation. Well take another three minutes to finally finish and if we dont then it will cut into our meal time because this lightbulb is crucial to our next activity/general existence, and during that time the commander will look over our shoulders and produce several loud, exasperated sighs. The lightbulb will get screwed in and we will go to formation to cut our time short, but when the commander goes to test our handiwork, the light wont turn on because the problem all along was something electrical, and itll be another week before it will get fixed.
