Stop & Shop – The Shop Never Stops If you see new shopping carts at the Food Bank, thank Stop & Shop. Unfortunately, due to space restrictions we cannot have too many shopping carts but our clients frequently have to wait to get their grocery cart before they can move on, this leaves a long line outside of our building. Mark Blackwell, General Manager of the Franklin Park Super Stop & Shop graciously donated three new shopping carts and six shopping baskets! They also provided us with re-usable food bags so our clients, particularly those who are walking, have an easier way of carrying their groceries. Not only do we save on purchasing plastic bags but we are staying green! We wanted our clients to be able to have a summer BBQ so once again, the Franklin Park Stop & Shop has donated hamburgers, hot dogs, charcoal, and buns to help our clients celebrate the summer. By the way, if you go to the Franklin Park Super Stop & Shop, we now have food barrels there to collect non-perishable food items. Check the sales circulars and help us Feed Those in Need by donating a couple of items on sale.
