Storm--;-) --Just another reason to LOVE NOLA!!!-Stay STRONG CBS Gives the Go-Ahead for ‘NCIS’ spinoff in New Orleans Well, it looks as if taking “NCIS” out to Los Angeles for a spinoff wasn’t enough, and CBS is looking to branch things out even more. Word is that the new spinoff will head to the “Big Easy” and take place in New Orleans. CBS has indeed given the greenlight to a backdoor pilot that will air over two episodes of the “NCIS” spring season, and hopefully bring forth a New Orleans version of “NCIS.” In the two-part episode, the New Orleans office will be introduced as it handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana and through to the Texas panhandle. “New Orleans, with its rich setting of music, fun and debauchery is a magnet for military personnel on leave,” the official logline reads. “And with fun, comes trouble. It is a natural backdrop for a unique character-driven spin-off.” “NCIS: New Orleans” (working title) will begin shooting in February of 2014 and will be executive produced by “NCIS” head Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon.
