Stormy Lucy (KY) B , M, foaled April 12, 2009 (Stormy Atlantic - Here Comes Lucinda, by Dixieland Band) tracked the pace then was sent through along the rail down the stretch to win the 1 1/8 miles $200K Grade II Santa Ana Stakes at Santa Anita Park March 16, 2014. Jockey Rafael Bejarano took her down along the rail and she took off to win going away by 1 1/2 lengths. Emotional Kitten came running late to get 2nd and it was a length back to Miss Serendipity in 3rd. Stormy Lucy was winless in all nine of her previous starts in Graded company, however, she did amass a race record of 6-2-3 from 21 starts. She has earned $392,200.
