((Story spam, because Ninja School Dropout is forcing me. Shade again. Key: |Thoughts| )) “Stand up, everyone look alive!” the officer in command barked. “Here he comes,” the dark green and lavender colored mech next to the black femme murmured. Shadow Stalker stood slightly straighter, her silver audio antennae in the neutral position to show she was alert. The prince of Vos was coming to watch the Gladiator fights today, and wanted to pick the fighters. Knowing since she was one of the very few femme gladiators, she might have to please the Prince as well and wait on him. Oh how she hated it. And, there his majesty appeared. Her bright, ice blue optics flashed brightly at the sight of the tri-colored Seeker. Many Guards were standing close to his side, and he had an almost mischievous and devilish aura to him. Definitely not what the femme had been expecting in the least bit. The Seeker strode gracefully down the line of fighters, stopping in front of Megatronus and picking him to pit against Doublestrobe. |Oh, there’s a surprise. He got picked yet again.| The Gladiator thought sarcastically to herself. Megatronus was always picked; then again, he was considerably the best as well. Continuing down the line, the Twins, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, were also picked to fight against Stereonoise. After them, it was Radioblast against Systemshocker, Aquarunner against Grenadier, Crypticvault against Sabrestriker and many more. Finally, the mech came to stand in front of Shadow Stalker. “Well well, aren’t you a fine specimen. Designation?” the Prince quipped. “Designation: Shadow Stalker, your majesty. I am known as the Angel of Darkness or the Dark Angel in the Pits,” the femme responded evenly, her arms clasped behind her back. “Mmm, nice to meet you,” he purred softly. “Win ratio?” “I have only ever lost two fights.” “When did you start your Gladiator career?” “When I was a youngling, just out of my second frame, sir.” The Prince seemed slightly shocked, but quickly regained composure. “You’ve been here for a while. Do you wish to fight or become my assistant until I leave?” |You mean your slave.| She thought bitterly to herself, but kept a neutral emotion. “I wish to fight, your majesty. However the choice is yours,” Shadow forced out through clenched denta. He seemed pleased with the answer. “You shall do both, I am curious to see you fight. You will fight first, then rest up as you help me during the rest of the time. Does that sound good?” “Yes, your majesty.” “So obedient, I love it,” he purred, gently grasping her chin and tilting her helm up with a small smirk. “You’ll be fighting that rather…energetic mech Liborio. Have a good day.” With that, he continued off down the line. Shadow Stalker let out a harsh vent, her optics narrowing, she needed to check the orns until her next day off. Primus how she needed one. A few hours later, Shadow had gathered up her friends at Northridge’s bar and started a game of Glyphs while drinking some highgrade. “Alright Triptrax, you’re Czar for this game,” Shadow instructed, taking a sip of her highgrade. “Sounds good!” The burgundy, grey, red, blue, mech chirped, picking a card out of the top of the deck. “Alright mechs and femme, fill in the blanks. ‘I spent my whole life cycle working towards _____, only to have it ruined by _____.’” Shadow flicked through her cards, before grinning wickedly. She picked out two, setting them face down by the main card. After the other mechs had placed their cards, they were all flipped. There was ‘I spent my whole life cycle working towards fiery slags, only to have it ruined by metal eating bacteria,’ ‘‘I spent my whole life cycle working towards silence, only to have it ruined by landmines,’ ‘I spent my whole life cycle working towards fragging, only to have it ruined by a spastic racer,” ‘I spent my whole life cycle working towards a disappointing creation day party, only to have it ruined by a Energon goodie,” and ‘I spent my whole life cycle working towards being peaceful, only to have it ruined by a sudden murdering spree.’ Triptrax looked skeptically at Shadow. “Yours was the murdering spree, wasn’t it?” “No, actually. For once,” the femme chuckled, leaning back and taking another sip of her highgrade. “There’s a shocker,” Aquarunner murmured with a small smirk, putting an arm around her shoulders. The femme turned and lightly grabbed the chest on his helm and shook it. “Hush you,” she snapped back playfully. “Caaan you feel-!” Rebelblast started singing, only to have Shadow cut in. “Me ripping your chest apart, to crush your sorry spark,” she sung back with a sly grin. “Point acknowledged, shutting up.” “Good mech. Now pick the winner! I’m heading back to my cell after this round,” Shadow quipped. “Alright alright, Ms. Impatient,” Triptrax laughed. “I vote for fragging the spastic racer.” “Woo! I win this round!” Burndown whooped, throwing his cards in the air. Shadow rolled her optics, and stood. “Well, that’s game. See you all tomorrow!” “Bye Shadow Stalker!” the mechs chorused, before Aquarunner stood with a small smile. “Would you mind?” he asked, taking her arm. “Not at all,” she purred, rubbing into his side as he guided her back to her cell to rest for the fight tomorrow. It was the fight that would change almost everything, but no one knew. Not yet.
