Storytime is coming to the Newton County Public Library for children ages 3 to 5 years! Lake Village Memorial, Morocco Community and Roselawn Libraries will offer 6-week sessions of these popular programs beginning the week of September 17th. Lake Village Memorial Township Library will host Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:15 AM and 1:15 PM. Roselawn Library’s Storytime will be held on Wednesdays at 10:15 AM and 1:15 PM, and Thursdays will bring Storytime to Morocco Community Library at 10:15 AM and 1:15 PM. Each Storytime program lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, and is planned around a special theme. This fall’s themes include “Let’s Go Camping!”, “Under the Sea”, and “Not So Scary Monsters”. Children will have the opportunity to make a wonderful variety of crafts, develop listening skills, meet community helpers and enjoy the time they spend with other children. Parents who want their children to attend Storytime need to call their branch of the Newton County Public Library to register children, as Storytime space is quite limited. Registration also helps Children’s Program Specialist Hope Tauber and her helpers prepare personalized items for children who attend. Parents may visit the Library, or call Lake Village at 992-3490, Morocco Community Library at 285-2664, or Roselawn Library at 345-2010 to register their preschoolers for these entertaining and educational programs. Parents choosing to may register by e-mail at [email protected]
