Stothert & Pitt 25 pts. Minehead Barbarians 7 pts Stotherts bounced back from last weeks disappointing loss with a home win against Minehead but will still feel there is room for improvement after a performance full of effort and intent but lacking in quality against visitors who were missing a few regulars.Playing up the slope, Stotherts early pressure earned them the lead with two well struck Ollie Perkins penalties but Minehead hit back and would have scored but for a dropped pass. Still, this gave them some impetus and following a sweeping move ,fullback Kyle Lewis took a great line to score a try which Dom Westcott converted. This stirred up Stotherts and their response was positive when Liam Crooks took a quick tapped penalty and the ball was moved to space quickly for Carl Taylor to score. Perkins duly converted for 13-7 interval lead. The second half saw Stotherts take more control and Taylor stretched the lead with a try from a well rehearsed set move. Stotherts made the game safe with their third try when they finally got some cohesion in their play and good linking between backs and forwards resulted in hard working lock Chris White scoring for Perkins to convert to complete the scoring.
