Straw poll time: If a non-profit organisation existed that helped local artists by way of a support team and a moderate advance - effectively a community record label - would you be prepared to contribute $50-100 (or more) per year to support such a venture? Benefits would include being able to choose which artists your money went towards supporting (via a shortlist), as well as substantial discounts on music and merch across the label and eventually, exclusive access to pre-sales and VIP tickets.
