Stress Relievers? So yesterday I arrived at work with a horrible headache/migraine, a common problem when I get extremely stressed. I tend to store stress in my shoulders and neck which eventually, if bad enough, turns into a migraine. If I take medicine, which I did, I get nauseous. Yesterday, I ended up having to go home early to finish meetings over the phone. This semester has been unusually busy considering I went back to school to continue pursuing my masters in PR. I am 1/3 done! But I didnt have a choice on timing...I had already taken a 9 month break from the program to start my new job and was told I would get kicked out if I didnt return now. Unfortunately at work I still havent filled two media positions that have been open since April. Until now, I had been absorbing the extra work load by working nights and weekends, even some vacations. But now there is no extra time in my schedule to create breathing room. We brainstormed this week staffing solutions so I am grateful more help is on the way soon. But what stress relievers typically work for you? Exercise, prayer, talking to friends, massage, walking, etc. usually help me. Yet, yesterday my headache was still with me through bedtime. I would love ideas for combatting stress during stressful seasons!
