Strike one: miss! It was not only the otters who gorged on the succulent, fresh sashimi this morning... there was plenty enough to go around for everybody (yeah... even for those damn crows, and more on that tomorrow!!!) That Grey heron was feeling lucky too and got into the action. It came out of nowhere, out of the right side of my field of view, into the lens, and lead me to his first strike, which was unsuccessful... but no wonder with the otters jumping and fishing around and the constant click-clack-click-click-clack of the cameras ;-) Come back later tonight to see what it got on strike TWO... 1 - where does he come from?? 2 - stealth approach, from behind the log (so clever!) 3 - sashimi spotted at 11 oclock... 4 - STRIKE ! 5 - MISS !
