Strong schools and a strong economy --- these are pillars for a safe community. Last night I was able to attend the first portion of a Community Justice Forum at New Destiny Fellowship in Wilmington. The panel was represented by law enforcement, prosecutors, and two different courts. Although it is critical to ensure there is trust and justice with these parts of the system, several Wilmington residents made the very important point that Wilmington and Delaware needs to focus on education and the economy, too. Moving forward, government offices must work to support local stakeholders, who in turn must be the grassroots leaders so essential to a strong Wilmington.
