Struth! Theyve just announced that DLTs sentence is being referred to the attorney generals office as being unduly lenient! He, and his wife, have used up the money from their house and savings, hes been dragged over the coals, and millions of taxpayers money has been spent on two high court cases that fizzled down to zilch. Most of the accusations, apart from one, were judged to be unproven. Im not a DLT fan, but I do think hes been punished enough. These kind of cases are usually dealt with by magistrates courts. Travis didnt beat or injure anyone, he cupped a womans breasts in an over-familiar manner, not good or honourable, but theyve taken this case much too far. Possibly a fine or some kind of compensation to his victims would have sufficed. Its obvious that he was bolstered by his own big ego into thinking that women would be flattered by his advances... possibly some of them were, which is why he thought he could continue in that way. His employers, the BBC, are also to blame, if they had dealt with it in a responsible manner at the time, maybe by a written warning or even a sacking, then he would have realised the consequences of his actions, maybe others would have escaped his clutches, and the wronged women would have had some kind of closure. However, on a positive note, a few lawyers and barristers will be able to buy new holiday homes.
