Student Work Opportunity Fall 2014 - Press Release Writer The Illinois Small Business Development Center at SIU is looking for an Undergraduate Assistant to interview local entrepreneurs and write press releases to celebrate the achievements and successes of these business owners. As the Center has an existing relationship with several media outlets, some of the students work will be published through various news outlets which provides resume building experience. The Center is housed in the Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center which is located south of the Arena. The Center provides free business assistance and works with 500-600 clients annually in a wide variety of industries. Required qualifications for this position includes excellent written and verbal communication, time management, knowledge of writing & submitting press releases and interest in small business. An ideal candidate would have a background or experience in small business but is not required. This position is for 10 hours per week, starts in the Fall and pays $10/hour.
