Student dies in alleged accident while taking selfie ABS-CBNnews Posted at 07/03/2014 11:55 AM | Updated as of 07/03/2014 2:47 PM MANILA – A female high school student in Pasig died in an alleged accident while taking a selfie photo. The student, a 14-year-old third-year public high school student, allegedly fell off the third floor stairs inside the school premises while taking a photo of herself last Monday. She was accompanied by a friend when the alleged accident took place. The relatives of the victim, however, complained that they received conflicting reports about the students death. The victims uncle said he first received a call from the students adviser, saying the victim was rushed to the hospital after feeling dizzy. However, when he arrived at the hospital, his niece was already dead. Senior Superintendent Mario Rariza, chief of Pasig City Police, said the victim succumbed to her wounds an hour after being rushed to Rizal Medical Center. Results of an autopsy on the victims remains revealed that the latter sustained broken bones, and an injury at the back of her head. It was also discovered that the victims rib pierced through her kidney. The victims family said the death of the victim may not have been due to an accident. The victims mother is asking witnesses to come forward and shed light on what happened. The victims father, meanwhile, asked the school administration to cooperate in the investigation. He also lamented the schools alleged poor response to the accident.
