‘Students Challenge’ Programme for Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2015 NGO – Yoga Prabha Bharati (Seva Sanstha) Trust 1. Eligibility Criteria: The Institute needs to be registered as an educational institute under the (Indian) Societies Registration Act 1860, its amendments that validate the authenticity of the body as a recognized educational institution. The photocopy of this document needs to be attested by the Head of the Institution. This includes school, college or educational institute. 2. The runners participating in this program will be eligible to run for 6km. In case anyone above 18 years then he/she can choose to run for 21km (certain other criteria needs to be fulfilled). Both runs will be held on 18th January 2015 (Race Day) 3. Window for online registration will be open till 20 slots are filled up. Upto now 15 (approx) have been filled up. 4. Benefit to the Institute and their Students : Before the Race Day a. Students Team will be recognized on the UWM website which has global visibility. The higher the contribution the more upward will be your position in the list. b. The Institution with the highest average amount per bib will be rewarded the coveted ‘Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2015 Institute Of The Year’ trophy with special mention in press releases. c. The Institute name supporting the NGO will be published in Charity Docket under the column of ‘Students Challenge’ enhancing their presence. d. We will have the goodie bags and BIBS collected on behalf of the student runners before the Race Day. e. Registered team participants will be trained on how they can raise further contribution by highly trained professionals from UWM upon prior intimation. f. Every student will be given separate ‘online’ page on UWM website to create their own write-up. g. Regular newsletters and updates on the event will be provided to all team participants. h. Students Online Giving Page facility - registration page will be created for your team. On the Race Day a. Students Team member will be stationed at Separate Holding Area and tent (along with the corporate) where they will be provided with refreshments, games and entertainment b. The priority institute team (details given below) would be hosted in the Corporate Challenge tent. 5. Benefit of associating with the NGO a. Students will learn what an NGO does and this will create a positive impact in their minds to favor humanity. b. We will hold exclusive 3 hour seminars – i) on ‘Effective Concentration with minimum effort’ program for students and ii) ‘Effortless Stress Management’ program for professors and other staff members of your Institute at your premises free of charge. c. We will hold 8 days camp of 3 hours each at your Institute premises to enable the members to learn more about themselves through ‘Samarpan Meditation’ program free of charge. d. We will provide VIP passes for your Institute students and employees and their family members for our Exclusive Events. e. All participants will be provided with exclusive T-shirts to be worn on the Race Day free of charge. f. Satisfaction of contributing to a good and noble cause. 6. Registration Process and Contribution: a. Initially, the institution will be eligible for minimum of 5 bibs for bona fide students. b. Registrations to avail of these bibs will be effective only once the Institute contributes a minimum amount of Rs. 50,000 for the chosen beneficiary NGO by filling up a pledge raising form. c. For every Rs. 10,000 raised after contributing a total of Rs. 50,000 the Institute can avail of 1 bib for every Rs. 10,000 raised. Irrespective of the maximum amount raised, an Institute can get a maximum of only 15 bibs. These 15 bibs could be given to students (12 years and above), teachers, members of PTA associations, Staff, Donors, alumni or beneficiaries. d. Priority Institute Status: Institutes contributing more than Rs.1,50,000 in SCMM 2015 get Priority Institute status in SCMM 2016. Priority status ensures a reserved spot in SCMM 2016 (if registered within the eligibility period). e. All cheques need to be issued in favor of ‘United Way of Mumbai’. f. If the Institution wants their ‘Institute name ’ printed on the T-shirts exclusively designed for SCMM 2015, then additional contribution of Rs. 1,50,000 will be appreciated in favor of ‘United Way of Mumbai’. g. 80G certificate will be made available to every donor and Institute. It will also be made available for contribution towards Exclusive T-shirts. h. The student can additionally contribute for which they will be provided with 80G certificates for each donor. i. Institution can contribute more than what is mentioned above in order to get more visibility for their organization. j. The bibs will be awarded at the expo on the basis of the amount raised as on Thursday, 18 December 2014. 7.
