Students in Dr. Gale Odoms Paris Immersion course just spent a week in Shreveport learning about music in Paris from 1750-1850. Although it doesnt appear relevant, the crazy shark cut-out in these pictures was at Shreveports Robinson Film Center, where we saw a screening of the 18th-Century opera, Cadmus et Hermione by Lully. Then we had to play with the shark. (For any of you critical photographers out there - it was DARK in the screening room). The class also toured the Strand Theater that same day. Were prepared now to see the Paris Opera. Leaving for Paris on August 5!
