Stuffed Bacon Porkchops Ingredients 7 1 inch thick pork steaks 2 cups Bread Crumbs Cayenne to taste 1 tsp chilli powder Pepper to taste Sea Salt to taste not too much already salty enough 1/2 cup Lawrys Mesquite Marinade 1 package Thick cut bacon may have leftover bacon 2 cups Shredded Chedder Cheese 1 tblsp onion powder 1 tblsp garlic powder 1/2 cup Dried minced onions Directions Brown bacon slightly in pan.Cut pork in the side center half way thru, season with all seasonings except lawrys marinade , bread crumbs and minced onions. Brown pork steaks in same pan as bacon. Take out, let cool a bit.Be sure not to brown too long will dry it out. Coat with Lawrys marinade .Put steaks in zip lock bag with bread crumbs, minced onions, and shake. I find it coats better if done a couple at a time. Stuff with cheddar cheese, be sure not to overfill. About 2 tblsp per steak. Close pocket with Toothe picks 1/2 inch apart. Wrap browned bacon around steak hooking to toothe picks. Preheat oven to 325 , line baking sheet with foil, on the dull side, spray with pam or grease lightly. Cook on 325 for 20 minutes, lower heat to 225 for remaining 15 minutes. Total cook time in oven 35 minutes. ENJOY!!!
