Stung by repeated criticisms that the government could see it fit to buy billions of US dollars worth of arms but are utterly powerless to act against the haze, a government spokesman announced that after lengthy discussions with the Indonesian government, Jakarta has finally given permission to the air force to bomb the jungles surrounding the fires so as to create firebreaks to stop the spread of the fire. Air force jets armed with napalm and phosphorus bombs will be dispatched to Sumatra by the end of next week. Guess the elites who planned the operation forgot that napalm and phosphorus bombs are incendiaries designed to start fires in jungles...
