Stunning !!! I left Batumi this morning and headed for the mountains.The road follows a river that runs through a valley then starts to steadily climb .The mountains ade stunning as is the country side.A few years ago the media gave Georgia the reputation of being one of the most dangerous coumtries in the world,it may have had some peoblems but from the reactions towards me of the people I have met so far it is hard to beleive the reputation it had,It just re confirms dont take ny notice of the media. I was stopped by a farmer and his wife who were pushing a cart full of veg and asked to eat with them,e was so insistant he raced up the road ahead of me with cart and was exhausted by the time he got to his house,is wife was really laughing at him.His mother lived them and she straight away indicated her husband had just died then burst into tears.It was one of those really awkward moments,I just put my hand on her shoulder then she hugged me.Within minutes the table was full of food and I was told to sit in what assumed was the important chair, great big upholstered armchair.Then the home made vodka appeared,and the toasts started, first to the dead husband then to me and several others things that I have no idea what they were.I managed to get away with two glasses.We said our goodbyes and I took some photos that they were so pleased with but the sad part is I have no way of sending them any.The headache almost started straight away,so I have cecided to stop for the day in a town called Khulo
