Sturm Graz midfielder Anel Hadzic could follow Darko Milanic to Leeds as the Slovenian prepares to take the reins at Elland Road: Massimo Cellinos decision to appoint ex-Forest Green Rovers boss Dave Hockaday as Leeds manager this summer predictably ended badly, with Hockaday lasting just 70 days in charge before being sacked by the flamboyant Italian in August. The left Cellino to look for a new manager, but in the meantime, Neil Redfearn has done a great job in temporary charge of the Whites, winning three of the last four games. Redfearn wont be getting the job permanently though, as Sturm Graz manager Darko Milanic is poised to take the reins at Elland Road. The Slovenian has also had spells in charge of Primorje, Gorica and Maribor before heading to Austria, where hes seemingly done enough to impress Cellino. Its a left-field appointment for Leeds, and Cellino is taking a huge gamble on Milanic after failing with his first appointment in Hockaday. Whilst making the bizarre choice of Hockaday, Cellino set about using his contacts back in Italy to bring a host of players to Elland Road, including Marco Silvestri, Gaetano Berardi, Giuseppe Bellusci, Souleymane Doukara and Mriko Antenucci. However, Milanic will no doubt want some control over transfers in the January transfer window, and reports today suggest that hes already identified his top target - Anel Hadzic. Hadzic, 25, was Milanics star player at Sturm Graz and could be asked to make the move to West Yorkshire with Milanic. Hadzic was part of Bosnias World Cup squad in Brazil, and played 61 minutes against Iran in their final group game of the tournament. A primarily defensive minded midfielder, Hadzic has the energy to get up and down the pitch and has the physicality needed to be a key player in the Championship. Sturm Graz will no doubt be reluctant to let one of their key players leave, but Milanic is such a big fan of the midfielder that he could try to force through a deal in the New Year. Would Hadzic be a good signing for Leeds?
