Subject Charged with Robbery of Henry County Bank #KSPPost5 (New Castle, KY) – A Carroll County man was arrested yesterday and charged with Robbery after an incident at a New Castle Bank. Corey Washburn, 21 years old from Carrollton, KY, was standing behind another customer inside the United Citizens Bank while a transaction involving a large amount of cash took place at the counter. Washburn reached over the customer’s shoulder and grabbed the cash and attempted to flee. The bank customer grabbed Washburn, pushed him against a wall, and held him there until KSP units arrived on scene. Washburn was charged with Robbery 1st and lodged at the Shelby County Detention Center. Detective Steve Goodale is leading the ongoing investigation. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. # # #
