Subject: Registration for participation is invited for Translator’s Orientation Programme at LRU, ISI, Kolkata The National Translation Mission (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) in collaboration with Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is organizing a 5-day Translator’s Orientation Programme in Bangla from 1st to 5th July 2013 at Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 203, B. T. Road, Baranagar (Near Dunlop), Kolkata – 700108, West Bengal, India. A tentative guideline of the programme is as follows: Working Language: Bengali, English, Hindi Subject: Translation studies and allied subjects No. of Trainee: 50 Eligibility of trainees: (a) Preferably PhD / Research Scholars / Post-graduates (pursuing or completed) in any discipline of human knowledge (Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Technology, etc.) (b) Professional translators are warmly welcome. (c) Trainees will be selected as per the eligibility and requirement of the programme. (d) Relaxations may be made in case of deserving candidates. Note Below: (a) Participated trainees will receive local conveyance (Rs. 150/- per day). (b) A certificate will also be given at the end of the programme provided the participants have attended all the sessions of five days.
