Subject: Severe Weather Outlook Wednesday, Jun 5, 2013, 9:30 AM Morning thunderstorms will affect parts of northwest and west central Arkansas. While an isolated severe storm cannot be ruled out entirely, the general trend will be for the storms to weaken through midday. This afternoon, thunderstorms should begin to intensify and also develop in additional parts of the state. Thus, the severe weather threat will encompass most of Arkansas, except for the northwest part. Damaging winds and large hail will be the severe weather threats, and I do expect to see some severe thunderstorm warnings issued. Chances for a tornado are low. On Thursday, there could be a few severe thunderstorms over the southeastern half of Arkansas during the afternoon and evening. Rainfall amounts through Thursday night will average 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches, with at least a few totals in the 2 to 3 inch range.
