Subjected last night to an episode of Huckabee, that goofy excuse for a political talk show--kind of a cross between Hee Haw and Letterman--hosted by hillbilly-preacher-politician Mike Huckabee. It was about as terrible as I imagined. A few observations: 1) Huckabee has verbal diarrhea. His monologue was an endless barrage of spin-doctoring and fantasy rebranding. The audience of caucasian blue-hairs applauded appreciatively. 2) He had on a group of millennials, so that he could get an informed opinion on how millennials really feel about Barack Obama. Of course, they were cherry-picked millennials from various college-campus Republican recruiting camps, and you could almost hear the program director waxing enthusiastically I got a black conservative, an hispanic conservative, and a Paris Hilton lookalike! That mustve been an effort. 3) He had two other guests: Gloria Gaynor, whos hawking a memoir and dutifully mounted the stage to perform I Will Survive, with Huckadoodle on bass. And Steven Seagal, the washed-up B-movie actor who looks like he has oil-slicked seaweed for hair and a jelly doughnut around his mouth. Huckabee had him on to solicit his thoughts concerning the safety of Americans during the Olympics--not from Putins bigotry toward LGBTs, but from Islamic terrorists, natch--because Seagal has a friendly relationship with Putin, something Barack Obama has failed to do. 4) I wonder: has Huckabee ever had Dennis Rodman on? After all, he has a friendly reltationship with Kim Jong II, something Barack Obama has failed to do. Just askin.
