Subscribe today! It’s fun and free: youtube/ZakGeorge As with anything in life when you seek shortcuts, you’ll have a weak foundation and it will catch up with you. It is too common for dog trainers to recommend shallow training “tools” like shock collars, prong collars and choke chains. Even the most fierce defender of these old fashioned ways of interacting with a dog cannot accurately say that shocking or abruptly pulling on a metal collar does anything to promote a meaningful relationship, bond or deep mutual understanding. When the going gets tough, do not submit to these guys or take their advice. The dog training rEvolution stands for raising the standards in how we teach our dogs. It is my single most important mission in my career. Our guiding principle when teaching dogs is to use only methods that promote a bond and mutual trust between a person and a dog. This doesn’t mean we never correct, and this doesn’t mean there are no consequences for behavior we don’t want. But it does mean that we will never use a method of correction we would not also use on a 3 year old child. If you are a non-professional using these methods, subscribe to my channel immediately to learn a more effective, meaningful, nicer way to teach your dog! If you are a professional accepting money from the public and recommending these outdated approaches, I welcome you here to achieve a new level of depth in your approach. Evolve or become irrelevant. -Zak George
