Success Story: Im fairly new to the world of spd and find that I cant let people know my sons success stories as there are alot of judgemental people out there who really dont understand. I just have to share this..... My 9 year old has finally conquered his fear of bike riding! I am so absolutely proud of him. He had no interest at all in learning to ride a bike when he was younger. Then, I got him a scooter for Christmas. He would scoot everyday for months, then in 2 days he went out everyday and pushed himself to ride his bike. He would just glide with his feet down for a day, then yesterday he said mom, my goal is to pedal my bike to the corner stop sign and Im going to do it. And he did! He hasnt stopped since. I just wanted to share my story without the usual judgement why is your 9 year old just riding now, my son did it at 4 years old. I heard that 3 times yesterday Thats great that their child did it at 4, but mine conquered his fear and rode at 9, so what. Im proud of him for trying and not giving up. I told him to be proud of himself for setting a goal and attaining it. He amazes me more and more each day
