The supernaturally born again believers need to revolutionize our Christianity for several reasons. These being,the church was never intended to be a peddler of selfish political or economic agendas. I have been reading and studying this bible for decades enabled by the Holy Spirit who helps my understanding of it. I can not find where Jesus emphasized the accumulation of excess wealth as a proof of blessing(see Matt.Chapters 5-7) The culture of capitalism has been inculcated in our faith and it has made greediness and insensitivity to peoples needs a norm in the church.Political power was never promised to us until Jesus comes to be King as even He recognize Caesar as having his place.God allows government and has a hand in its formation and history has shown that religious government has not done much better than secular. The church must get back to what we alone can do for our world to preach and model Jesus to them.We alone can reconcile man with God and intercede for their sins.I am not here saying to abandon personal development but in so doing keep Gods agenda as your focus. It would appear that the showing off of wealth has replaced evangelistic zeal could that be why Islam is reminding us how to be zealots.
