“Sucess Comes to Those Who Work Hard” Today’s Verse: ”Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.” - Proverbs 13:4 (NLT) The book of Proverbs was written to impart wisdom to young men. Today, it easily applies to both young men and women. As parents we would do well to encourage our students to read the book of Proverbs. This verse presents a simple, yet important principle. A lazy person has lots of dreams and desires, but in the end they have nothing. However, the person who works hard, will prosper, because of their actions. It is wonderful to have great dreams about what you are going to do and have, but at some point you have to work hard to bring them about. Our students need to understand that great things are not going to drop in their laps, they have to work for them. As you pray for your student today, pray they develop the habit of working hard. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or on the stage, pray they will always do their very best. Pray they learn that hard work, and success are directly connected. Sample Prayer: Father, I pray that (childs name) will learn the value of doing their best and working hard. I pray they will not be lazy, but will always be diligent in everything they do. Help them to understand the value of working hard for what they want. In Jesus Name, Amen
