Such a complicated issue, and I havent commented much until now. I support the teachers for class size and composition, and funding to continue what I consider essential learning subjects: music, library, home ec., shop., etc. I believe that many basic skills students would learn in school will be permanently lost by the majority of future generations - regardless of socio-economic status and that many of the kids who struggle with learning challenges would better engage and feel accomplished with fuller course offerings and better in class support and encouragement. Im deeply disappointed at the level of education in BC and Canada as a whole that we are nowhere near competitive with the rest of the world in standards, and if the teachers cant get basic resources and support, how will we ever be able to elevate all our kids to their fullest potential?
