Such a nice weather today! It was really sunny, and felt great! Anyway. We had our first meeting for the month, and we had a few first-timers. Yay more friends ;) Tonight we talked about important things in our lives. Somethings that cannot be replaced with other things. What are the most important things in your life? Love? Money? Family? Work? What would your life be like without those things? And what are the things that are being obstacles for you to make them come first in your life? Kyoung Young used an illustration of a cup inside ourselves. In each one of us, we have cups. We try very hard to fill this cup with things so that we can feel satisfied. Some people try to fill it with love, money, good works, etc. Some people in the Bible tried the same. They tried filling it with relationships or money. But in the end, they still felt empty. Their cups werent filled. But one day when they met Jesus, when they received Gods love, their cups became full. They felt real satisfaction. Our cups are made to be filled. We can try filling it with anything we want. But the only thing that can really give us satisfaction, is Gods love. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. [Psalm 23:5] What are you filling your cup with? Are you satisfied with that? Next meeting is on the 21st of October.
