Such a unique talent and human being . I Remember listening to his music over and over again in the 70s during a time when I was trying to understand where I was going and struggling to figure out exactly who I was .I never understood why he converted to Islam. It wasnt that particular religion that bothered me , but any religion. All the time , it was his spiritualism that was driving him and my thirst for realism driving me .I think he found peace in his religion and I found my reality and discovered perhaps a fictitious religion is a highly acceptable substitute for reality.Fairytales have their place in our world they, after all ,give us hope that good wins over evil and happiness last for an eternity ..I am just going to listen to the music which is my alternative reality.
