Such an *AWESOME* day on tap for this girl :)...I am *BEYOND* happy, proud, honored, and excited to be striking off to my alma mater, the University of Maine at Orono, where I have the privilege of taking part in the opening ceremonies for the state level Special Olympics games, where hundreds of athletes will be competing this weekend!! :) Beginning earlier this week, the Special Olympics torch of hope started making its way across the state, being carried by elite law enforcement groups, through different legs of the official Special Olympics torch run, and Mrs. Maine has the distinct honor of participating in the last leg of the torch run with law enforcement, as the torch is carried onto campus where games will be getting underway. I will be running with military police, state police, game wardens, county police, city police, and other branches of law enforcement that do so much each year to raise money for Special Olympics...so proud of all that they do and to be shoulder to shoulder with them in bringing awareness to the Special Olympics!!!! :) I will also be riding in the the opening ceremonies parade and declaring the games officially open...SO PUMPED!!!! :) If you happen to be in the area or are looking for something fun and meaningful to do this evening, come help us wish all of these *AWESOME* athletes the best as we open games tonight...the more the merrier!! ♡ xo Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt. ~Special Olympian Motto ♡
