No sweat break ups I hesitated writing this one because I dont want you to think that I am minimizing the difficulty of breaking up with someone. In fact I know it is one of the hardest things we can go through. Letting go means letting someone free and ending the relationship. The only way Im aware how to make break up tolerable is to enhance ones perspective and to see its necessary. Its weird when you think about it, but if not for all break ups all of us would marry the very first person were ever interested in and obviously in most cases thats not in our best interests. When you put break ups in perspective, its a little easier to spend energy mourning relationships that are over and instead spend that same energy by appreciating them. With appreciation, its much easier to focus on the gifts of the relationship. The memories, fun and growth youve shared while at the same time letting go and moving on. I know its hard to move on, but lets face it. Its over! Life must go on. Youll realize that as painful as it might be, youll love again. People who are able to look at break ups like this are able to maintain a friendship, if not immediately but at least later on. Do you agree that Friends can be lovers but lovers cannot be friends? You might disagree, right? To make things right, rather than being angry or resentful towards someone because your relationship didnt last, instead be able to maintain a positive feeling for that person and genuinely wish him or her well. If you can do this, youll experience the magic of the healing power of love. Soon youll notice that youll feel happier, gain more self-confidence and even appear more attractive to others when your thoughts and wishes are positive. The love and forgiveness in your heart is more visible to others than any of us can possibly imagine. Your break ups usually end up like a gift in disguise.
