Suicide is now the single biggest cause of death in men aged 20-49 in England and Wales, with males accounting for 78 per cent of all suicides in the UK. That is a staggering statistic. And one simply not being addressed to the degree that it should be. Having talked with guys at the gym about this its startling how widespread serious depression and mental health issues are amongst men and how few are seeking help. If youre struggling please remember you are not alone and ask for help, whether thats friends, family or organisations such as MIND or CALM. Martial arts has been a large part of helping me overcome depression in the past and deal with anxiety problems. I hope our academy and what we offer can help others too.
