Our partner, HURESIC is situated and implements its activities in the Greater Tzaneen in Limpopo province, a large area which consists of 33 wards with more than 100 communities. The economic activity is centralised in industrial and business areas of Tzaneen and a few in Nkowankowa, Letsitele and Lenyenye. 98 Percent of the communities are rural. The industrial areas cannot absorb all the economically active people in the area. Hence there is a high rate of unemployment. The programmes of the organisation are designed to benefit OVC and youth within five communities in the Greater Tzaneen Municipality. The children and youth are trained on life skills, children’s rights, health education dealing with issues such as TB, Malaria prevention, HIV and AIDS, Cholera, Bilharzia etc.
