Summerfield UNITED METHODIST CHURCH United Methodist Women Susan Wagoner, President Members of the UMW who attended the October General Meeting were inspired by Dr. Anne Conover, Associate Pastor of Rehobeth UMC, to use our talents and creativity to express our praise and thanks giving to God. We were pleased to have Pastor Bev and several of her members from Mt. Carmel UMC join us for this meeting. Our November 12 meetings are as follows: The Morning Circle is meeting with Jeannette Windham at 10:00 am; the Evening Circle with Noelle Redmon at 7:00 pm. Mark your calendars and join us! On Saturday, November 16, we will be making chicken pies with the UMM. This is our major fundraiser; we need all of you to help and it’s lots of fun. December 10th is our annual Christmas Covered Dish Dinner at 6:30 pm. At this time we will reveal our 2013 prayer partners with a donation to the Sonshine Room. We are all urged to attend the UMW Assembly in Louisville, Kentucky in April of 2014 (see the UMW bulletin board for details). Even if we cannot attend, we can participate in the Hands-on Project: prayer shawls and baby blankets...so get those knitting needles and crochet hooks working to share our love with others. Kitchen duty for November: Debbie Fisher. We need volunteers for December. UMW officers for 2014 will remain the same but we need a trainee for president. If you feel called to fill this position for 2015–16, please let the Executive Board know. Thank you to Jennie Cole and Mary Brookshire for leading the Chrismon workshops.
